Groups

Our most popular group program!

We have several groups for children of all ages.  The main goal of our social language groups is to teach children how to appropriately interact with their peers.

Rounded Rectangle:

Asking and answering questions, reading body language, and starting, maintaining and ending meaningful conversations, are just a few of the critical  skills worked on in these groups.

Why Have a Group Led by a

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)?

In addition to speech (production of sounds), SLPs are experts in all areas of communication.  SLPs can work on pragmatics—the “rules” to

appropriate social interaction that are usually intuitively learned, but can be very difficult for some children.  Even if a child has never had a diagnosis of a speech or communication disorder, they can struggle with language and pragmatics, affecting their ability to interact in all social settings.

Groups meet weekly on an ongoing basis.  We currently have openings in groups for a variety of age groups.
