Often times, the biggest difficulty for children with learning challenges is not academics but social interaction and social behavior. The main goal of the Bridges Program is to prepare students behaviorally and socially for a general education classroom. In addition to academics, skills targeted include but are not limited to: group and peer interaction, attention to task and appropriate behavior. These foundational skills are essential for success in school.
